It's inspiration Friday, so here is a little inspiration, to find the beauty in chippy paint.
I can't help but love these pieces of history, well, at least somebodies history. I often wonder where these came from, or who owned them before me??
I am always drawn to pieces like these, at flea markets, antique shops, and garage sales. I can't help myself.
For me, the chippier the better!
So enjoy a little bit of my ever growing chippy collection.
I am off to the Santa Monica Flea Market on Sunday.
Who knows, maybe more chippy paint??
Have a wonderful weekend!

Love all your chippy things! I like that look, my husband hates it! Can't wait to see what you come back with from the fleamarket!
Wish I could go too!

I love chippy and weathered too. Love your stuff, more pictures please.
You always have such great photos, and a wonderful collection! I like your style!
Please post pics if you take some of your flea market, too...your flea markets are far more charming than ours!
Have a great weekend,
Andrea
I love that look too, so I really enjoyed your photos. Some people just do not understand this look, but I'm with you, I think it's wonderful!

I just love your style, Rosemary. I love chippy paint too...worm-holes in wood are beautiful also...both add so much charm and character to pieces!
Chippy is good... VERY good! Love all your chippy furniture! Especially the piece in your first photo!
Fabulous Rosemary! I love the door frame with the mirror and the table in front and the little rusty iron pieces! Also you have such pretty displays, like the bird nest! From the little peaks you showed us so far your home must be really wonderful!

P.S. I'm sure that you are much nicer than Mrs. O. ;-)
OOh lots of lovely painted things! It funny in the U.K. we say ''chipped paint, and in the States you all say 'chippy'! I prefer 'chippy paint'-sounds friendlier somehow!!
Hope you have a wonderful time hunting for new treasures-can't wait to see the pictures!x
Rosemary, I love your chippy paint things! I don't have a lot of it, but I admire it. It's always fun to find neat things out there. Have fun in Santa Monica.

You have so many nice chippy pieces!
I love them them, too. They make me feel comfortable, like any nick or scratch that comes from my recklessness isn't going to hurt them. In fact, it just adds to their history and charm. :)
