Kitchen Update!

Hi all!
I am sure you are all so busy with the upcoming holidays.
We are around here!
My kitchen remodel has finally started.
I added pictures of the before, and what has been done so far. Not sure which order I added the pictures, but the big farm sink is new as well as the lovely plywood counters. I was never so glad to see that brown 1982 tile go away!!
It's quite dusty here today, but I don't even mind. I am told the new counter will be in before Christmas. The back splash and plumbing won't be until after Christmas, unless a Christmas miracle happens.
Anyway I am glad for the progress so far.
I am still glittering away.
I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season so far.

Under A Mountain of Glitter!

Hi all!
Hope you have had a great week!
I have been a glittering fool. I was under a mountain of glitter, so I couldn't get around to visit all of you.
I have been trying to glitter, decorate, Christmas shop, and supervise a kitchen remodel all at the same time. It's a circus around here, but I love it.
I posted a few pictures of some glittery goodness.
I hope you all have wonderful plans for the weekend.
Tonight I am going to a concert with my husband. Early in the am, garage sales with my daughter. Then off to Garden Memories to make deliveries.
Whatever you do, have fun!!!
Try to visit soon!

Rosemary

A Busy Weekend!!

Hi all!
Hope you all had a fun weekend!!
Mine was sooooo busy, but fun!
Friday night started with the Ventura Ghost Tour. It was so interesting to find out not only about the ghost stories, but the history of Downtown Ventura.
The tour was given by Richard Senate. He is an authority on the paranormal and history in this area. He is a published author, teacher and he has even been on tv.Google him to find out more.
Saturday, we were busy with the usual Saturday errands, then a lovely dinner out with friends.
Sunday was the Ventura Flea Market. My husband and I went very early, then we met my friend, and blogging buddy Jamie. My husband left us girls to our own shopping time. Jamie and I had a ball as usual. We shopped and talked non stop!! After we shopped til we could shop no more, we all headed to Downtown Ventura for lunch at Nona's Courtyard Cafe. In the Bella Maggiore Hotel. One of the haunted sites on our tour Friday night! Lunch was delicious.
Dear sweet Jamie insisted on treating us to lunch even with our protests!!!! The girl is stubborn!!
She also presented me with the most lovely orchid plant for Thanksgiving.
Thank you sweet Jamie!!
In the pictures you can see my beautiful orchid, as well as some of my flea market finds. I got some old Christmas ornaments, a really great old mirror, old sheet music, and other misc items not pictured.
I'm sure you are all busy this week getting ready for the big T day on Thursday.
I will try to post another day this week. I have more to talk about, as I have received an award from another sweet blog friend.
Have a great Monday!!!

Christmas Goodies

Hello all, and happy Thursday!!
Hope you have all had a great week so far!
I have been busy working on some Christmas goodies. All of the glitter and glue are keeping me away from your blogs. I really need to catch up.
I hope you all have some great plans for the weekend.
We are going on a ghost tour tomorrow night, that my daughter and son in law purchased recently at a silent auction. Spooky fun!! It is a walking tour of Downtown Ventura. I will let you know how that goes.
Sunday is the Ventura Flea Market, and I am meeting my friend Jamie there. You know Jamie, the best vintage jewelry maker I know. http://simplymeart.blogspot.com/ We are going to have a fun day of shopping for treasures. Can't wait!!
I will try to get around to visit soon!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Waiting!!

Hi all!
Hope you had a great weekend.
I talked a bit before about an upcoming kitchen remodel. Nothing is happening yet I'm afraid. I am waiting as patiently as possible for the above sink. It's a beautiful Farmhouse sink by FRANKE. I was told 3-4 weeks, and I'm only on week 2.
You see, nothing can happen until the sink gets here. You have to have the sink in order to measure the counters etc. etc.
I think it will be worth the wait, as I have wanted a Farmhouse sink for a very long time. At least my kitchen won't be messed up for Thanksgiving. Maybe for Christmas, who knows? Only the sink gods know for sure.
So please send out some good sink vibes for me.
You know how it is when you want to start something.
More about the sink, it is fireclay. Each one is made and fired from clay in Switzerland. No black scratches!! Yay!! (It weighs a ton, and you have to have it built in to your cabinet).
The sink we are replacing is 26 years old, and won't come clean anymore. It's been scrubbed so often that I think layers of enamel have come off.
Anyway, I will let you know when this project starts. I will have pictures of the before and after. That's always fun.
I must get back to my glittering now. I am making some new French candy containers. A new paper project for me.
I will try to add them to my etsy shop.
Have a wonderful week.
