Happy Weekend!

Hi there!
Hope you are all planning a fun weekend!
I have been finishing up more crowns and banners. I started on a witch hat decoration today. I went to a Friday garage sale this morning and got this great old zinc box. I wrote Bonjour on it with chalk. All this fun for $3.
Went to the plumbing store, and had my nails and toes done today!
Watching scary movies with my daughter tonight! Tomorrow going to a fundraising dinner in LA with my husband!
As you can see, keeping busy as always!
Enjoy your weekend!

My Little Tiara Collection

Hi all!
Happy Weekend!!
Hope you all have some great plans!
My friend Anita from, Castles,Crowns, and Cottages, wanted to see my little tiara collection, so I thought I would share. I think I have put a picture of this on my blog before, but that is when I only had one or two tiaras. My collection is growing. Every time I see a fun, and not too expensive tiara at the flea market, I pick it up. I have passed up a few that were way too expensive, but for the most part, you can still find them out there. The prices are a bit better if a stone or two are missing. I don't really mind that, as I think it gives the piece more character. I have six of them now, so that does qualify as a collection. I think three or more qualify. They bring out the queen in all of us!
Have a wonderful weekend!

More Stuff!

Hi all!
Hope you are having a great day!!
I have been working on more stuff as I call it. More crowns, boxes, and some muslin ribbon. I am showing the ribbon for my friend Jean in Rhode Island!! It's quite a process, but worth the effort.
I also started adding some accessories to my new/old shelf thingy!! I will probably be changing it around for awhile. I add things, then take them away. It's just how I do it. Once Halloween is near I will make it a bit spooky.
As you can see from the Halloween counter I put on my blog, it's a big holiday around here. When my daughter saw my counter, she put it on her blog as well.
She has a baby countdown, and a Halloween countdown.
Well I had better get back to cleaning my house. It's one of those days, scrubbing top to bottom.

Tuesday Stuff!

Hi all!
This is what I have been up to the last couple of days!!
Crowns, party hats, boxes, glitter, burlap, glue, paint, paper!!
Fun!!
I haven't quite finished merchandising my new shelf thingy in the previous post. Going slow on that, and rearranging. Will post pictures when it's finished.
Hope you are all keeping cool. It's been quite warm here in Southern California the last couple of days. We were getting so spoiled with the not so hot July, that now, we are roasting.
I have to say congrats to my daughter's friend Jen. Jen, and her husband Mark just had a new baby. Welcome baby Gavin! Born this morning!
Well, back to the glittery fun!!

Saturday Sale!

Hi all!
Hope you are having a great weekend!
I went to an awesome garage sale yesterday morning, and I got this really cool shelf thingy!!
I cleaned it, and hung it up. Now I just need to decorate and merchandise it. That will be the fun part. I hung it in place of a painting that I had hanging there for a very long time. You know how sometimes you just get tired of something, even though it's nice. Well, it was time for a change.
I hope you found some treasures as well!
I will take more photos after I decorate it! I know I will be changing it up many times over, according to my moods, trends, and holidays.
Have a great start to your week tomorrow.
Chat again soon.

Garage Sale Tracker, Who Knew?

Hi,
Hope you had a great week. Mine was busy as usual, making my creations as fast as I can, and still not done.
In the midst of all that, I found out about a very cool website called Garage Sale Tracker. Some of you may know about it, but I didn't. www.garagesalestracker.com/ There is a way to list your garage sales, find out about them in your area, as well as flea markets and consignment shops. If you have time you should check it out.
I thought since it was Friday, this might be a good thing to do, just in time for the weekend sales. The other cool thing is, if you are traveling, you can find out ahead of time where the flea markets and sales might be.
So have fun!!
Enjoy your weekend, and find some treasures!

Garage Sale Extravaganza!

Hi all!
Hope you had a great weekend!
As I mentioned in my previous post, my daughter and I were heading out early Saturday morning for a huge community garage sale. It started at 6:30am. We arrived about 7:00am. My very sweet husband was actually our chauffeur. This way we could cover more ground. We would walk aways, and he would come and pick us up, and drive us to the next street. A good idea, considering it was a really hot day, and my daughter is now 7 months along.
I got this amazing coffee table, now mind you I was not looking for one. It found me.
I had a kind of white, shabby french one in my family room for quite sometime. I always found it to be a little small. When I spied this one, I knew I had to have it. My daughter liked it too. I asked how much? The lady had to go through her speech about how it came from a very expensive store in Santa Barbara etc. Which I could tell, because I have been there. Bottom line is she wanted $150.00, and I got it for $140.00. Not bad since it's a $400.00 plus table. It's the kind of french farm table rustic look that I like. It has a drawer for our many remotes, and it's got plenty of space on top for my ever changing decorating. Good thing my husband was there, because this is a heavy piece.
I also got this pretty silver mirror, the one on the right side of the picture for $4and this pretty metal candle holder for my outside table for $2. Pretty good I think.
My daughter got some kids books, and a really cool Halloween decoration. A head in a globe type thing that talks and glows. Brand new in the box marked $60 for $3. As you might remember she does a giant Halloween graveyard in her front yard.
So it was a good day at the sales.
I love treasure hunting!!
Have a great week!
