I'm Back!!

Hi all!!
I'm back from my week long vacation!!
We had such a great time, but I missed all of you, and your blogs.
These are just a few photos of this and that from vacation.
We started in San Ramon, and stayed with my brother and his family.
We enjoyed visiting with our 3 nephews. They are all such great kids!!
We visited so many cute and quaint areas in Norther California. My brother is only an hour from Napa. We went to the most entertaining wine dinner. You can see all 4 of us in front of the winery owners car.
We went on a ghost tour in Pleasanton, we had lovely dinners including a wonderful one in Walnut Creek on our anniversary. We went to Castle in the Air, a magical shop I have been wanting to visit. I also went to American Harvest, another great shop you may know about. Half the time I would forget to take pictures because I was so into what I was doing. Several more shops in Danville too!
We ended our vacation at this beautiful golf resort near San Jose and Gilroy. As you can see from the photos, we had an amazing view of the golf course. My husband golfed for 2 days and I relaxed. It was the first time for me to relax in awhile.
It was so much fun, but I was glad to get home yesterday and see my daughter her husband and of course baby Jake. He looks so much bigger in just a week.
I will try to catch up with all of you as soon as I can. I am up to my elbows in laundry, and Halloween festivities.
Have a Happy and safe Halloween!!
Glad to be back!

Crowns Around the Cottage!

Hi all!
Just let me know when you are sick of crowns.
I had to finish these up for a shop by Wednesday, as we are leaving on Thursday for our anniversary vacation. We are heading up north on Thursday. Our 33RD anniversary is on Friday October 23RD. Our daughter's 2ND anniversary is on Monday October 26TH. Happy Anniversary Amanda and Joe!!
I'm also trying to tie these crowns from today in with Cielo's show off your cottage Monday. I am so busy right now, that I decided to show my crowns around the cottage. Hope you don't mind Cielo. Visit Cielo's blog The House in the Roses to see some lovely cottages participating today.
My Etsy shop will be closed until Friday October 30TH.
If you ever see crowns on my blog that you would like, please email me as they aren't always in my Etsy shop. Since I'm constantly making things for shops and special orders, it's hard to keep things for Etsy. I'm going to try to get more in the shop for Christmas!
If I don't post again before I leave for vacation, have a lovely week, and next week as well. Happy Halloween!
I hope to have many vacation photos for you when I get back.
Chat again soon.
Love,
Rosemary

Just Crowns!

Hi all!
Hope you are having a happy weekend!
It's very hot in Southern California, completely opposite of last weekend.
This happens every year so we are used to it, but I don't like it. Fall needs to be cool!
Anyway, thought I would snap a few photos of a couple of my crowns.
The first photo is of one of my new creations. I got the idea while looking at this reproduction French crown sitting on the zinc box. I liked the idea of stars so this is the glittery version I came up with. The last one is a theatrical prop/costume crown I bought at a local thrift shop. I thought it was quite fun for $1.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Lots Of Stuff!

Hi all!
Hope you are having a great week!
Last Saturday I went to the Barn sale in Nipomo, then on Sunday I went to the Rose Bowl. Busy weekend. These are some of the things I got. I have not posted them all, just a few so far.
The bittersweet, came from Nipomo, but the urn came from the Rose Bowl. A good combo.
The blessings pumpkin is from a farm where they scratch the words into the pumpkins as they are growing. These were a big hit at the barn sale.
The fortune telling book came from the Rose Bowl. The title just cracks me up.
Fortune Telling for Fun and Popularity. I guess in the 40's that was cool!
I hope you enjoy the photos. I am enjoying all of my new finds. Oh the silver thing holding the Blessings pumpkin also came from the Barn Sale!
The horse show ribbons came from Heather's booth. I love the brown one, and it's very appropriate for this time of year, since it says Sleepy Hollow Riding School. The amber bottles are from the Rose Bowl, I embellished them for Halloween. I made the crown using one of the jewels I found at the Rose Bowl. The green plant stand holding the pumpkin is from the Barn sale. The birdcage cloche is from the Barn sale as well.
Have a lovely evening.

Halloween Queen Giveaway!

Hi all!
Happy Friday!
In honor of my favorite upcoming holiday, I decided to have a little giveaway.
I made this small paper crown, complete with glittering spider. Now I didn't make it too Halloweenish, just in case you would like to keep it out other times of the year.
If you would like though, I could make a small banner to put on the crown with any spooky words of your choice, Halloween Queen, spooky, Witches Ball, etc., you get the picture. Or you could leave it as is.
All you need to do is leave a comment on this post. If you would like to be entered more than once, get people to follow my blog, every time you have a new friend follow me just tell me via email or blog who it is, and I will be happy to enter you again and again. Why not have more chances to win?
You need to have a blog or email address where I can get to you if you win.
I will choose the winner on Wednesday October 14TH.
Good Luck, and have a spooky weekend.
Chat again soon.
Love,
Rosemary
PS, relatives, and that means you Amanda cannot enter!

New Header!

Hi all!
Some of you have noticed my new header. My friend Amber made it for me. She is a very talented designer. You can visit her blog, The Shabee Chick, then go to her design site. There is also a button on the side bar of my blog, just click on that.
My header is a combo of Amber's ideas and my art. I made the little fairy girl, and she is wearing one of my party hats. I think it's so clever that Amber can do that.
I can make crowns and party hats all day long, but when it comes to all things computer, like designing and installing a header etc. forget it. That is not my talent.
I want to thank Amber for her help and talent!!
I'm glad you all liked the new Halloween crown in the previous post. I have been making more of the witching hour hats this week along with some boo garlands, ravens, and crowns. I have also been visiting baby Jake, and he is getting cuter by the day.
So happy Wednesday to all of you!!
Enjoy your day!

PS, two week photo of baby Jake!!

Halloween Queen!

Hi all!
Hope you had a spectacular weekend!
The weather here is wonderful and Fallish!!
I just thought you would like to see this special order Halloween crown, before it flies off on another witches broom!!
I am having a busy Monday as usual. Went for my morning walk, dropped off a shipment at the post office, am up to my elbows in black glitter and witch hats, and later today I am babysitting baby Jake while my daughter goes for her check up.
Other than that I have nothing to do!
I am very excited too, because this coming Saturday is the barn sale in Nipomo. Nipomo is up the coast from me. It's about a 2 hour drive. Some of you may remember last October I went and had a fabulous time. If you want to see what it is about, Remnants of the Past in Nipomo Ca. Look in my past posts from last Oct. Barn Sale.
I will be sure to take more pictures this year.
Well, have a great day, and a great week.

What's Brewing Today!

Hi all!
Hope you had a nice week, and are planning a fun weekend.
Just thought you might like to see these fun Halloween things before they fly out of the house. They are being picked up this afternoon, and brought to another fun Halloween house. If you haven't seen the October Cottage of the Month at The Old Painted Cottage, Jennifer Grey's site, you should go there and enjoy the festivities.
Tania's house is magnificently decorated for the season. It's chic, and sophisticated, yet has plenty of Halloween fun!
Have I used the word fun enough yet?
I am going to use it again, have a fun weekend.
Chat again soon.
Love,
Rosemary
PS, once you click on Jennifer Grey, then click on my shop and you will see a title of Cottage of the Month.
