Hello all!!
Here is what I am doing today. Our newish 2 year old fridge went out on Saturday night. It's not keeping it's cool. It's losing it's cool. HeHe!!
We have the extended warranty, but (Isn't there always a but)? The guy, and there is always a guy, can't come until Wednesday between 8 and 12. You know he will get here at 12.
In the mean time I am having powdered junk in my coffee. YUCK!
That was the not fun part. Here is the fun part. We went to the Ventura flea market on Sunday.
I got these 2 pretty, and old Christmas ornaments both for $6. This old salvaged birdbath for $35. It weighs a ton, by the way!! Thanks to my husband for carrying that back to the car.
These old rhinestone buttons and clips. $13 for all.
This cute little Infant of Prague statue. $1 2 Halloween decorations $1 each. For even more fun, Jamie of http://simplymeart.blogspot.com/ met me at the flea market. We had a ball shopping together. We never stopped talking the entire time. After the flea market my husband took us to lunch in downtown Ventura. More talking!!!
Then Jamie and I went shopping around downtown. We of course stopped in at Garden Memories. www.gardenmemoriesgifts.com/ Jamie dropped off some beautiful necklaces for the shop. We then went to some really great antique malls. Jamie found lots of jewelry making goodies. We both loved these wooden shoe forms.
Aren't they cute? A bargain at $4 each.
Can't wait until the next flea market!!
Hope my fridge is working soon.
I am having Memorial Day at my house. BBQ!!!! Good thing I didn't shop for that yet.
Have a great week friends!!
Love,
Rosemary

Love the rhinestones

I love the rhinestones, too! You really found some nice things. I told J, I wish our flea markets were as good as California's.
Sorry to hear about your fridge. It always seems like these things happen around one holiday or the other! Hope the "guy" gets there on time and gets it running!
Pat
What a fridge nightmare! To make you wait that long is insane. I admire your courage. I would be dead in the water without my fridge.
I love all your new goodies. The rhinestone buttons are fabulous.

Great treasure hunting!
I think I like the bird bath and the pumpkins the best.

Rosemary,
So sorry to hear about your refrigerator. I can't believe it takes that long to get someone to come take a look! Your vintage finds are just wonderful. I wish we had more flea markets in PA. Sounds like a lot of fun! Amy :)
Sounds like a great day, love the sparkles and those shoe forms. Yep $4 is a good price.
Rosemary, sorry your fridge's on the fritz. It was great seeing you at the flea on Sunday. I'm totally envious of your Infant of Prague statue!

Some excellent finds, Rosemary!! I'm particularly fond of those Christmas ornaments-- and it never hurts to think far in advance where the holidays are concerned.
