Hunting, Gathering and a Hairdo!

This morning my husband and I went up to the Paris Flea Market in Carpinteria. I have talked about it in a previous post. I found the cute little white drawers. I bought them from Jennifer Grey, http://www.theoldpaintedcottage.com/
Tomorrow Jennifer will be selling a the Rose Bowl Flea Market, if anyone is going. While in Carpinteria, we stopped at a shop called Magpie. I picked up these 2 Halloween cones. (What a surprise)

On the way back, we stopped in Ventura. Of course I had to stop in at my friend Barbara's shop, Garden Memories. I bought the Roman crown, and the glittery Christmas cones. She hadn't even put the cones out on the floor yet. I saw them behind the counter. She let me purchase them now, because by the time I get back to her shop after the wedding, I'm sure they will be gone.

Speaking of the wedding, which is 13 days away now. I am thinking of having my hair put up like this picture. I want an up do, but nothing too foofy. I want simple and elegant.

So that is what I have been up to this lovely Fall Saturday. (We had rain last night)

Hope you are all having a great day too!

I LOVE the updo!!!!

And speaking of lovely cones, I don't own a single cone... yet! I'm either going to have to buy one really soon, or make one! =)

Such an elegant, classic updo - you will look amazing. I'll be gone for the wedding perhaps (back 10/28) so will check with you after then.
Read my post tomorrow about Devonshire clotted cream - you did spell is correctly. It's so good, especially when you buy it directly from a small farm - tastes much better than commercial dairies.

Carpenteria was my FAVORITE stop when we visited California! I could have spent all day there.

Cute little white drawers. That would be perfect for organizing small craft supplies.

LOVE the updo. You're right, it simple and elegant, but not fussy.

If I only had somewhere besides the grocery store to go to, I'd be wearing that updo! Pop over to my blog when you get a chance to pick up an award ;)

Hugs,
Dena

You got some cool things! Love the little drawers.

I like the hair style, too. Wanted to wear mine similar to my son's wedding, but was told it wasn't going to be "that fancy". Huh? That didn't make a bit of sense to me, but I obeyed. I still wish I could have worn it up. So you go for it!

Again, I'm totally loving the Halloween decorations and all of your finds from Saturday. I don't have any cones. I really want to learn how to make them. Although, really I can think of how it would be made, but I think I just need to do it. Thanks for sharing your fun new stuff!!
