French Inspiration

Here we are again, inspiration Friday!
Today, as everyday, I am inspired by all things French. I don't really know how it started, but I know that I like it.

I think that the French architecture, food, lifestyle, art, decorating etc. are wonderful!

I am Italian, and I think Italy has great architecture and food too, but I guess I have developed this affinity for all things French!
I've noticed on the blogs, that other people feel the same way. There is just something very intriguing about it.

I hope you enjoy some pictures from around my home, and my little bits of France.

The lampshade was a huge splurge, from one of my favorite shops in Ventura. A lady hand makes the shades, using French fabric.

Tomorrow, I am off again to Carpinteria, and to the Paris Flea Market.
As soon as I get brave enough to fly, I will travel to France. Last summer I made the big step and got a passport. (Believe me that was a big step)!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi, Rosemary, I love French things too, although I dearly love anything Italian, so it would be a toss-up. I agree, the French have such a flair with their furniture designs & homestyle. You have some pretty Frenchie things!

Rosemary- I am terrified to fly too! I am going to Florence, Italy in October with some girlfriends and I am petrified!! But you would loove France, it's gorgeous!! Can you speak Italian, I can speak French and German, but would love to master Italian!!
The old paper crown is an old post-office crown, it's the symbol of our 'Royal Mail' post office. That crown symbol is on their delivery vans and red post boxes ect!!

By the way, I am coveting your sparkly Eiffel Tower!!!

Hi Rosemary ~
I too have been drawn towards anything Paris-related. What is it about those Frenchies??

The French Inspired Home has been my constant source of inspiration this past year, & I am pleased to say I have spoken with both Kaari & her husband, and they are the nicest, nicest people.

FRENCH FLEA MARKET???

WHERE?? Why am I not there?!

I also have a thing for all things French. It is becoming an obsession! My daughter honeymooned in Paris and was there for a student exchange program before that. Maybe her returning with all those darling little Eiffel Tower keychains began this?

:-) Excuse me now while I go visit all of your websites to see what other french goodies I can drool over!

Have a great weekend!

Rosemary, you are close enough to drive to Vegas, go stay at the Paris hotel. It's great. Our room looked right past the Eifel tower to the Belagio water fountains. the whole downstairs is made to look like Paris. French food, music and atmosphere.

Hi Rosemary!
I think that if you keep frequenting these Fleas you will have redecorated your whole house by the end of August! LOL
That red bench is so pretty, it will go with that other piece that you painted red. Is it for the garden?
As far as heading over to Paris, get to the airport early and have a few cocktails, you'll be more than ready to go.
