Thought you might like to see what I bought over the weekend. I have been in very a creative mood lately. I went to a few I my favorite shops, in Ventura. Garden Memories and B on Main.
I can't wait to see what I might come up with this week. One never knows.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Be creative!!!

Friday Flower Frog
So here it is Friday. I thought that maybe, there might be a garage sale or two today. Sometimes on Fridays you get lucky. Not today! Instead, after my morning walk, I went to one of my local thrift shops.
I came out with a really cute flower frog to add to my collection. It is a copper one, and not like any of the others that I own.
I thought it was a deal at $7.00. I have paid more at flea markets.
I really don't know what attracts me to them. Maybe it is a textural thing. They are definitely unique. Whatever it is about them, I now have a new/old copper one.
Oh, they can always be used for flowers.

Queen for a day!!!
It is Thursday afternoon, and I just returned home from a day of pampering. Mani/Pedi day at the salon. It is suppose to be fun, but it is all that sitting that I dislike.
I start thinking of all of the things I could or should be doing, while I am suppose to RELAX!
If I get back to the projects, and mess up my pretty nails and toes, the vicious cycle will start all over again.
Right now I am obsessed with crowns and tiaras. This is the view inside my home office armoire. It must be the shiny, sparkly girl thing.
Anyway I better get back to my painting and gardening. My manicurist loves my projects.
Have a royal day!

View from my own backyard
Hello,
I thought you might like to see the view from my backyard today. It is such a beautiful day in Southern California. I had the need to just wonder around the yard.
Some of the items in the yard, I picked up at garage sales and flea markets. (Of course)
The lovely little farm table, a $25.00 garage sale find. The white chippy gate, Ventura flea market, $20.00
French watering can, $20.00 Santa Monica flea marktet.
A warm Spring day in your own backyard, priceless!

Mother's Day is near
Good Morning,
I just returned from my daily walk, and it is a beautiful Spring day out there. I saw the cutest baby bunny, and some baby ducks. Spring really is here.
Well Mother's Day is approaching fast. I have been obsessed lately with paper and scraps. Having read the many wonderful blogs out there, I have also become very inspired to try my hand at making a Mother's Day card for my mom this year. I thought you might like to see what I have come up with.
I had to incorporate a crown somewhere, because crowns are one of my favorite things. If I see a shirt with a crown on it, I am compelled to buy it.
Anyway I hope you like my mom's card, and maybe you will make one for your mom.

Saturday garage sale find
Hello,
I thought that you would like to see, my cute little $3.00 garage sale find from Saturday. I kind of tweaked it a bit. It started out with a white top painted with ivy. I repainted and distressed it. When it was dry I added some moss and a tiny nest. Who knew you could have so much fun for $3.00.
Can't wait to see what I might find next.

Understanding the blog thing
Sunday April 22, 2007
Thought that you might like to see this nice Spring picture, of my newly planted old chair in my backyard.
Now down to the business of blogging. The only thing I am trying to understand, is how to give someone the site and how to find my blog.
If you have a friend who normally doesn't read blogs, then how do you go about telling them how to find yours??? This is the part that I haven't figured out yet. So if someone out there in blog land knows what I am talking about, I would really appreciate the help.
I have enjoyed reading the many blogs about shabby, antique, flea markets, junking etc. So I though I would try writing a blog about the same thing.
So help out a fellow blogger if you can.
Thanks so much,
Rosemary

Very first blog entry
Hello,
Today is Friday April 20, 2007
My name is Rosemary.
This is my very first entry. I am very new to this blogging thing. I have been inspired lately, by reading many interesting blogs about home, garden, cottage living, flea markets etc. All of the things that I love.
This is a picture of my lovely new/old shelf. One of my very good friends recently, gave this to me, and I decided to use it under my dining room window. I really like the way that it looks.
My wonderful husband put it up for me and made sure it is never coming down. EVER!
I hope to discuss many topics about junking, flea marketing and garage/yard sales. I have many decorating ideas that I would like to share. I hope that people will respond. I have named my blog rose's petite maison, because I am obsessed with all things French right at the moment. I find the french country/ shabby cottage decor magnifique!
I hope you all have a great weekend. I will try to share with you again soon.
Au revoir,
Rosemary
