Nests and Birds, Birds and Nests!!

On this third day of January, it is dreary, cold and we are waiting for a rain storm.

So I thought it would be fun to look at some of my birds and nests. I have many. I seem to be collecting more and more nests lately.

Most of the birds and nests came from my friend Barbara's most adorable shop, Garden Memories. She always has a bird or a nest I cannot seem to resist.

(Click on any picture to enlarge)
Barbara even has sparkly eggs to put in the nests.

I know I have shown this teapot once before, but I thought it went well with today's theme.

TJ Maxx, you gotta love it.

Back to Garden Memories, this sparkle nest and bird use to live there, now they live with me.

This one came from the Ventura Flea Market. $4.00. The next Ventura Flea Market is scheduled for Feb. 3, if anyone in Southern California is interested.

I love zinc and lead items, so when I saw this guy, I had to buy him.
Another beautiful nest from Garden Memories. If you want to visit Garden Memories go to www.gardenmemoriesgifts.com/ I believe Barbara will soon have a shopping site.
I hope you are all having a wonderful first week on the new year.
Rosemary

LOVE the sparkle nest! I can't wait for her to open an online store - she has such cool stuff. Well, you know I love all the bird and nest things! I was at TJMaxx this week and they had soup tureens with little birds on them - maybe from the same line as your teapot?

I just bought a beautiful bird's nest calendar from Borders today for 50% off! It is huge and printed on linen paper. I really am returning to what I love: birds, nests, nature, natural wood, bringing nature indoors... Also, vintage items. Aaaaah...

Have a grand and glorious day!

Hi Rosemary, what a neat collection of birds and nests. I think it is amazing a little birdie can create such a sweet little home.
We are expecting lots of rain and high winds too. Stay dry and cozy....Linda

What a neat display! I share your love of birds' nests and birds. I have a real (deserted) nest in a bush in the front yard that I want to bring in and keep.

What sweet nests! My mother once had a pair of Society Finches who were always laying the tiniest little eggs (both birds were female)-- my Mom would put the eggs into a little nest she had and kept it on her cupboard. =)

Ah, beautiful birds and nests. I'd give anything to hear the birds chirping right now.

I love that little teapot! I would have bought that too if I saw it.

I hope the storm dies down a bit before it hits you. Northern California is getting hammered now. It looks like a hurricane out there. I've never seen the wind blow that hard before.

I love nests and just about anything nature. I was assessing my taste the other day (something I guess one does when their just about to turn 50) and I have noticed that I am returning to what I loved in my early adult years: NATURE. MARJOLEIN BASTIN is one of my favorite nature artists. I am finding that I am now buying up little birdies, adorning my home with seashells, pine cones and what have you. I love it!
