Friday Flower Frog

So here it is Friday. I thought that maybe, there might be a garage sale or two today. Sometimes on Fridays you get lucky. Not today! Instead, after my morning walk, I went to one of my local thrift shops.
I came out with a really cute flower frog to add to my collection. It is a copper one, and not like any of the others that I own.
I thought it was a deal at $7.00. I have paid more at flea markets.

I really don't know what attracts me to them. Maybe it is a textural thing. They are definitely unique. Whatever it is about them, I now have a new/old copper one.

Oh, they can always be used for flowers.

Hi Rosemary, Thanks for visiting my blog and for your lovely comment.

Great find! Your frog collection look great displayed all together like that! I have a few of the spikey ones - they make great card holders, don't they?!

Have a good weekend,
Niki

I have a thing for the glass flower frogs.
I've used them as paper weights and pencil holders. :)

Your collection looks wonderful!

Those are so fun! I don't think I've ever met someone who collected them before. They do have such sculputural lines.

Lovely picture looking out to your backyard.

Rosemary, I've seen the flower frogs used as pen holders too. You have a nice collection of them. Who knows what makes us want to collect certain things. Like I said, nice collection and display.

I love all your frogs! It's something I had never thought of collecting before, but I see so many of them in my favorite antique and thrift shops, that perhaps I should start a new collection!

I love frogs too! I don't own a single one though. Yet! I always admire them in magazines.
