2 Years of Blogging!

Hi all!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Ours was busy as usual. It started Saturday morning with my daughter Amanda. Our favorite thing, going to some garage sales.
I will show pictures of my finds in another post.
It's hard to believe I have been blogging now for 2 years! Wow!!
I have made so many nice friends, and met wonderful people full of great ideas and thoughts.
In honor of this historic occasion, I will be giving away one of these little crowns.

Wedding Bells!

Hi all!
Just a quick post today.
I have been busy working on some ideas for a new client's wedding.
It's a long story, but the bride found me through the cupcake shop. I did a banner for the shop, and the rest is history. Anyway, she wants a banner that says Just Married, as well as cute table numbers. When the ideas and projects are done, I will post pictures.
I hope you are having a great week. It's been abnormally cold in Southern California. It got down to the 30's last night. Which is weird for this time of year.
It's suppose to warm up for the weekend though.

Views from Easter!

Hi all!
Hope you all had a lovely Easter yesterday!!
We sure did here in sunny California. The weather was perfect. My husband and I had a wonderful brunch with my daughter, son in law and my mom!
We ate, chatted, enjoyed the outdoors, and my daughter Amanda age 27 even had her Easter egg hunt. I'm sure Amanda will be adding more photos to her blog.(Baby Balice Blog) Click on it from my blog roll.
I wanted to mention that I got a wonderful Sisterhood award from Alli, I am going to pass this on to all of my bloggy girls out in blogland. I know, I am suppose to choose, but I can't. There are so many great, and creative women out there. I enjoy each and every blog.
I want you to notice I got another wonderful card from my friend Jean in Rhode Island. She makes the cutest cards, and she is the nicest lady. We have become such good friends. Now we just need to get together in person someday!
I took a picture of my new French flags. I love the way they turned out. I was inspired to make some, when I saw them at a flea market.
I changed the design, and put my own spin on them of course. It's funny where and when we might be inspired.

3 Tiny Crowns!

The tiniest crowns in the Kingdom!
Maybe not, but they are mini and cute!
I took some time out from getting ready for Easter, to make some mini crowns.
They were really fun to create, and make. I made them from rain gutter screen. I have made large ones like this, but never this small. I used, lots of fun things to adorn them, like vintage French dictionary pages, crepe paper, tinsel, glass glitter,Dresden's, and crystals. I hate to part with these little cuties, but they are going into my Etsy shop.
I hope you are all having a great week. I still have not washed my windows, as another storm is suppose to be coming tonight. It's really putting a damper on my plans. I don't think they will get washed until Saturday. That way they will be clean for the Easter Bunny!

This and That!

Hi all!
Hope you had a fun weekend.
Mine was busy as usual.
I went to the garage sales on Saturday with my daughter, and got this tall cage, for $5. I set it outside with my new/old bunny and some flowers.
I also spent Saturday and Sunday, planting flowers and getting my yard ready for Spring, and Easter. I am hosting Easter brunch in my backyard.
I have been working on some custom crowns. I got the order on Friday, and they are pretty much done and ready. I love how this little pink one turned out for a new baby present. It's smaller than some, just the right size for a new little princess.
I haven't been around to visit the blogs in the last few days, but now you can see why. I will try to visit tonight or tomorrow. I'm sure you are all getting ready for the upcoming holiday too!
Have a great week! We are expecting some rain tomorrow night, so I am holding off on doing my windows until Wed or Thurs. April showers will water my new flowers!

PS, I forgot to mention, that cute little Easter basket with Queen Robin. That basket is mine. It's my first and only Easter basket. I have had it since I was little. It's still in good shape, fit for a Queen.

Fifty Favors!

Happy Thursday!!
I finished the 50 tiny cones for the baby shower my daughter is throwing.
They are 4 1/2" long. They will be filled with white Jordan almonds wrapped in brown tulle. It was a lot of work, but always worth it. Something new I can add to my repertoire.
I also made 48 tiny cupcake flags to match. I have a feeling this will be one cute shower.
Now as a reward, I am going shopping!
