Vintage Baby Shoes!

Hope you all had a great day!!
I have been working on baby shower favors today. My daughter Amanda is throwing her friend Jen a baby shower in May. We already know it's a boy, so Amanda chose blue and brown for the colors of the shower.
In the previous post you saw the baby shoes that I picked up at the flea market.
This pair was actually given to me by my friend Jennifer who was a vendor at Sundays flea market.
This little decoration will be going on top of a diaper cake my daughter is making for the shower. A cake made from diapers, really cute.
I laced the shoes with ribbon, added some pretty blue crepe paper, and a flag that I made.
Now I am going to go relax, as I was working on 50 mini cones for the shower. Will post pictures as soon as they are done.
Have a wonderful evening.
Chat again soon.

Back From The Flea Market!!

Hi all, and happy Sunday!!
It was a great day at the Ventura Flea Market!
The weather was perfect, not too warm, not too cool.
There were more sellers, with great stuff, then usual.
As you can see from the pictures, I found some pretty fun things. A cute wire baby buggy, for a certain baby shower, vintage baby shoes that I am going to embellish, for upcoming baby shower. One pair of the shoes given to me by my friend Jennifer Grey of the Old Painted Cottage. Very sweet Jen, thank you. The cute pillow shams I purchased from Jennifer. A vintage looking tee shirt, from the tee shirt guy. Very cute, and brand new. Lots of vintage sheet music, 1950's rhinestone earrings, a garden sign for only $1. Big burlap sacks that I will use for pillows or seat covers. A tiara for me queen of something. Not sure what. Oh, the old Eiffel tower photo, from 1901. My sweet husband purchased for me. Thank you honey!
I also found a beautiful set of vintage cut glass drinking glasses, already in the dishwasher. All in all, a great flea market day. I visited with several friends, found fun stuff, and spent the day with my husband.
Hope you all had a great day too!
Chat soon.

Rosemary

Can't Get Enough!

Lately it seems that I can't get enough pretty paper and graphics. I love working with paper, old photos, pretty ribbon and Dresden's. It seems like everyday I am searching for paper. It's like a treasure hunt. Sometimes I find the greatest stuff, and other times not!!! I have been to many garage sales lately, and have come up empty handed. I went to the Rose Bowl a few weeks ago, and got nothing except some old plastic ballerinas. The kind I use to have on my own birthday cakes as a child.
This Sunday I will be heading out to the Ventura Flea Market in search of paper, ephemera, millinery and old photos.
As you can see from the pictures, these are a few new paper creations I made this week. I am working on more as I type this blog post. Pam, the lady who owns Posies the new shop that I am in, happens to love paper art as much as I do. Who knew that I would be so excited about paper?
One of my best sources as you know is The Graphics Fairy. Be sure to visit her blog for wonderful and free graphics. She has an amazing collection. Just click on her blog from my blog roll.
Well, I just wanted to say hello, happy Thursday, and enjoy the day.
Oh, and thanks to all of you who visited my daughter Amanda's new blog. She had great fun reading your comments.

Springing Up!

Happy Tuesday!
I am back to regular blogging, Yay!
Little nests and bunnies are starting to spring up. Thought you might like to see.
It is so much fun to decide where you want things to go. I love to play with all of my pretties, and move them around the house until they look just right. In fact I am probably a little too obsessed about it, but things really bug me if they don't look right. Who knows how many more times these things will get moved around, but at least I am having fun! Isn't that the main idea anyway?
I am also planning my approach to this coming weekend of picking out, and planting flowers for the garden. Cleaning up what is left of winter, and making the backyard a haven for Spring and Summer.
I hope you have a lovely Spring day!

A New Blog!

Good morning or afternoon depending on where you are. Hope you all had a great weekend. It's pretty cold here for Spring, but I think that will change very soon.
This picture is of my daughter Amanda. She is expecting her first baby, and has started a new blog. I just wanted to announce it, so you could visit her blog if you would like. Doesn't she look cute? She is due in late September. It's all very exciting!! It seems like I was just blogging about her wedding, but that was already 2 years ago. Her blog is http://babybalice.blogspot.com/
I'm sure she would like visitors.
Update, my big orders are done and delivered. I hope to be back to regular blogging.
Enjoy your day!

I Miss Blogging!

Hi all!!
Missed you!
One big order down, one to go. One more week of creating!!
I have really missed visiting everyone, and missed posting myself.
I'm sure you have all been doing fun, interesting and wonderful things. I need to catch up with you asap. I have been away from my computer for the most part. I needed to concentrate on working and not get distracted from all the great things going on out in blogland.
The pictures I have posted are some of the chicken wire crowns I have been making.
I only have a few cuts and scrapes.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
It feels really great to have my first big order done and ready for delivery tomorrow. I made 107 pieces, in less than 2 weeks. I can't even believe I did that much.
I will be back to regular scheduled blogging after this week is over.
Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Also on Friday, Happy Spring!!
Be back soon!
Love, Rosemary

Featured Artist!

Hi all!
It's a DREAM come true!
I am a featured artist!! Amber of the Shabee Chick Designs was so kind to ask me to be the featured artist on her blog and website. It is something new that she is doing. She is one creative artist herself.
She helped to put my blog together, and did the cute little vintage crown button for my etsy shop. So if you feel the need or are just curious about me, just head over to Amber's blog.
In other news, I just got 2 big orders for my artwork, so I will be hold up in my studio for the next 3 weeks working away. Just slide my meals under the door please.
So if I don't get around to blogging or visiting you anytime soon, it's just because I am working away on some pretty, glittery, magical fun!!

Romance

Hi all!
Hope you had a lovely weekend!
While staying at home, getting over my cold, which is all better by the way.
I was creating a little romance. I love using vintage pieces, or vintage inspired pieces in my work. The ballerina and little pink bird are birthday cake decorations from when I was little. I think they add a bit of romance and nostalgia.
Of course to me if it has glitter on it, it's romantic. I also love the look of this candy container. This girl just shouts romance!!
If you are checking out the blogs today, be sure to visit my friend Jamie. She is doing a home tour. You will love it!
Have a nice day, and a great week!
Chat soon.

Rosemary
