A Busy Weekend!!
Hi all!
Hope you all had a fun weekend!!
Mine was sooooo busy, but fun!
Friday night started with the Ventura Ghost Tour. It was so interesting to find out not only about the ghost stories, but the history of Downtown Ventura.
The tour was given by Richard Senate. He is an authority on the paranormal and history in this area. He is a published author, teacher and he has even been on tv.Google him to find out more.
Saturday, we were busy with the usual Saturday errands, then a lovely dinner out with friends.
Sunday was the Ventura Flea Market. My husband and I went very early, then we met my friend, and blogging buddy Jamie. My husband left us girls to our own shopping time. Jamie and I had a ball as usual. We shopped and talked non stop!! After we shopped til we could shop no more, we all headed to Downtown Ventura for lunch at Nona's Courtyard Cafe. In the Bella Maggiore Hotel. One of the haunted sites on our tour Friday night! Lunch was delicious.
Dear sweet Jamie insisted on treating us to lunch even with our protests!!!! The girl is stubborn!!
She also presented me with the most lovely orchid plant for Thanksgiving.
Thank you sweet Jamie!!
In the pictures you can see my beautiful orchid, as well as some of my flea market finds. I got some old Christmas ornaments, a really great old mirror, old sheet music, and other misc items not pictured.
I'm sure you are all busy this week getting ready for the big T day on Thursday.
I will try to post another day this week. I have more to talk about, as I have received an award from another sweet blog friend.
Have a great Monday!!!
Chat again soon.

Christmas Goodies
Hello all, and happy Thursday!!
Hope you have all had a great week so far!
I have been busy working on some Christmas goodies. All of the glitter and glue are keeping me away from your blogs. I really need to catch up.
I hope you all have some great plans for the weekend.
We are going on a ghost tour tomorrow night, that my daughter and son in law purchased recently at a silent auction. Spooky fun!! It is a walking tour of Downtown Ventura. I will let you know how that goes.
Sunday is the Ventura Flea Market, and I am meeting my friend Jamie there. You know Jamie, the best vintage jewelry maker I know. http://simplymeart.blogspot.com/ We are going to have a fun day of shopping for treasures. Can't wait!!
I will try to get around to visit soon!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Waiting!!
Hi all!
Hope you had a great weekend.
I talked a bit before about an upcoming kitchen remodel. Nothing is happening yet I'm afraid. I am waiting as patiently as possible for the above sink. It's a beautiful Farmhouse sink by FRANKE. I was told 3-4 weeks, and I'm only on week 2.
You see, nothing can happen until the sink gets here. You have to have the sink in order to measure the counters etc. etc.
I think it will be worth the wait, as I have wanted a Farmhouse sink for a very long time. At least my kitchen won't be messed up for Thanksgiving. Maybe for Christmas, who knows? Only the sink gods know for sure.
So please send out some good sink vibes for me.
You know how it is when you want to start something.
More about the sink, it is fireclay. Each one is made and fired from clay in Switzerland. No black scratches!! Yay!! (It weighs a ton, and you have to have it built in to your cabinet).
The sink we are replacing is 26 years old, and won't come clean anymore. It's been scrubbed so often that I think layers of enamel have come off.
Anyway, I will let you know when this project starts. I will have pictures of the before and after. That's always fun.
I must get back to my glittering now. I am making some new French candy containers. A new paper project for me.
I will try to add them to my etsy shop.
Have a wonderful week.
Chat soon!

Guess What??
Hi all!
Sorry I haven't had time to visit this week, but I was busy opening my new Etsy store. It's something I have wanted to do for quite awhile now.
If you notice on my sidebar I have a cute button to go straight to my Etsy. My button and Etsy banner were made by the talented Amber of Shabee Chick Designs.
I named my shop The Vintage Crown. It will have many of my creations, crowns, boxes, tags, wands, cones, and lots of magical, whimsical goodies.
It took me awhile to figure it all out, since I am not a computer genius. Just and artist. You know right brained and all of that.
I will be listing many more items soon. I just had to get at least one thing on there to start it out.
I will let you know when I get more listed.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Rosemary

Thanksgiving Is On The Way!!
I hope you all had a great weekend!
I have been decorating for Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving, and I don't like to skip over the opportunity to decorate. I know most stores go right into Christmas after Halloween. We shouldn't overlook the pretty Thanksgiving decor.
I am off to a busy week. I will try and check in with you periodically.
Have a great week!
Chat soon!

PS, the picture of the pretty slipper/shoe with the leaves tucked inside, came from Heather Bullard. I purchased it from the soiree, last Sunday. http://heatherbullard.typepad.com/

Hello all!!

I have started making some winter, and holiday crowns.
Just thought you might like to see what I have been up to so far. I have also been busy making holiday boxes and tags. So I guess you could say, let the holidays begin!!
In the midst of this holiday stuff, I have also started working on a little kitchen remodel. I'm sure I will have pictures of that soon.

A Parisian Soiree!!
Yesterday I attended A Parisian Holiday Soiree, hosted by the lovely and talented Heather Bullard. It was a beautiful afternoon. Heather worked tirelessly to put on a wonderful affair. Her wonderful family was there to help! It was so great to meet Heather.
I attended with my friend Jamie of Simply Me Art!! We left from Jamie's home, and chatted the whole hour and 1/2 there and back.
The soiree was held at the Beautiful Mission Inn in Riverside California. I had always heard about this place, but had never been.
There was pretty eye candy everywhere you looked. We had such fun, shopping, eating sweet treats, and doing a couple of crafts with Heather. Heather also had a vintage Christmas wrap demo, and a question and answer time with 2 lovely Editors from Somerset. There were many wonderful door prizes as well!!!
I got to meet Jill of Bailiwick Designs. I have been following her blog for along time now. We had a chance to visit the whole afternoon.
I only had time for a few photos as you can see.
A fun time was had by all.
Thank you Heather!!!
Love,
Rosemary
