Happy Monday!!
Sorry I haven't had a chance to post, or visit all of your blogs lately.
Still working on my bedroom/bathroom remodel. This week, I am doing all of the painting.
I am painting the bathroom, vanity, and the bedroom. I took a week off from my artwork in order to concentrate on painting. My husband is getting anxious to use our beautiful new shower. I am working as fast as I can honey. He has been great, living with the mess for the last couple of weeks.
Anyway, on Saturday Mark and I went up to Carpinteria, not only to beat the heat, but to attend the Paris Flea Market. You have heard me speak of it before. It's a small flea market, but great vendors with beautiful things for sale. I forgot to bring my camera, but you can check it out on a previous post.
I bought this beautiful red and white all down chair. I had a chair in this corner for years, but it wasn't down, and it was time for a change. The color fit in nicely too. I got a fairly good deal for down. I posted my old one on Craigslist this morning.
In case you are wondering, that is the sun reflecting on the chair.
It was fun to find something, I wasn't actually looking for. It was just one of those things. I can't wait to curl up and read a good book.
After the flea market, we went to Garden Memories in Ventura to visit my friend Barbara. I usually visit her every Saturday to bring her new things I've made for her shop. Anyway, she had these beautiful new busts. Did I have to buy one? Yes I did. I think she will look beautiful in my new bathroom. (Once it's finished) She had them in white and moss. I could hardly decide which one to buy. I think the moss one would look wonderful in the garden.
I think she is kind of magical looking. Kind of like you unearthed her from a 100 year old sleep, in a Kingdom far away. ( I think the paint is getting to me)
Have a wonderful week, and I will visit you all when I can.
Love,
Rosemary
Here is the old chair, thought you might like to see it. I had a custom slipcover made for it about 9 years ago. It's held up very well.
