Tiny Snowman!
Hi all,
Just checking in!! Been so busy with the remodel, Christmas etc.
I have been looking at your blogs, not always leaving a comment.
I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season.
My friend Joan went skiing on Thursday, and she came home with a cooler full of snow.
When I got home that night, she had surprised me with a tiny snowman. It was at night, that is why the photo is dark.
He was so cute and Christmasy. We have been having extremely cold weather for Southern California. The snowman stayed all night and half of the next day. It was fun while it lasted.
You probably think us California people are a little nuts, but we don't see snow that often.
Thank you Joan, it was FUN!!!
Have a great rest of the weekend!
Remodel photos soon, I hope.
Also, I wanted to mention to the Garden Memories shoppers, please feel free to email anytime with questions and orders. My email address is right on my blog page, just click on my profile at the bottom of the right side of blog page.

Two Things!!
Hello all!!
2 things to talk about today!
1. I would like to welcome all of the Garden Memories shoppers to my blog, and etsy shop. Barbara is referring them to my blog in case they need one of my creations.
I hope you enjoy my blog and all of the others on my blog roll.
2. I got an email from a friend yesterday. My friend is Steven La Rose. He is an amazing artist. He does the most wonderful drawings, and he just started selling them through ebay. He has a new blog that I think you will all enjoy looking at.
http://stevenlarosedrawings.blogspot.com/ The name of his blog is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees. I think that is a wonderful name/title.
Anyway, he is just the nicest person. I met him when I was reading a magazine called Renovation Style, and I had a question about the beautifully painted kitchen on the cover. My pantry door looks great because of Steven.
I found him and emailed him with my painting question, and he was so helpful. He is also an amazing faux finisher/painter artist.
Bottom line is go and look at his drawings, and you will be glad you did.
Have a wonderful day!

Garden Memories, but a Memory
It's a sad day in Ventura!!! Barbara is closing Garden Memories!!
After 18 years she has decided to pursue other interests. She will still be selling from her website www.gardenmemoriesgifts.com
Barbara gave me a wonderful opportunity to sell my paper art in her shop for the last year. It's been so much fun!! People really took to my pieces. If you shop in Garden Memories, and you need to find any of my pieces, please go to Barbara's website or my blog directly. You can always email me with an order. I will still be making crowns, boxes, tags, wands, candy containers etc. If you need beautiful charms go to www.mjornaments.com Martha sold her beautiful charms in Barbara's shop as well.
Martha and I both started out as shoppers in Garden Memories, then both of us became featured artists of the shop. We are very sad that we can no longer go into that charming place.
Soon it will be just a memory!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Rosemary

Kitchen Update!
Hi all!
I am sure you are all so busy with the upcoming holidays.
We are around here!
My kitchen remodel has finally started.
I added pictures of the before, and what has been done so far. Not sure which order I added the pictures, but the big farm sink is new as well as the lovely plywood counters. I was never so glad to see that brown 1982 tile go away!!
It's quite dusty here today, but I don't even mind. I am told the new counter will be in before Christmas. The back splash and plumbing won't be until after Christmas, unless a Christmas miracle happens.
Anyway I am glad for the progress so far.
I am still glittering away.
I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season so far.

Under A Mountain of Glitter!
Hi all!
Hope you have had a great week!
I have been a glittering fool. I was under a mountain of glitter, so I couldn't get around to visit all of you.
I have been trying to glitter, decorate, Christmas shop, and supervise a kitchen remodel all at the same time. It's a circus around here, but I love it.
I posted a few pictures of some glittery goodness.
I hope you all have wonderful plans for the weekend.
Tonight I am going to a concert with my husband. Early in the am, garage sales with my daughter. Then off to Garden Memories to make deliveries.
Whatever you do, have fun!!!
Try to visit soon!

Rosemary

A Busy Weekend!!
Hi all!
Hope you all had a fun weekend!!
Mine was sooooo busy, but fun!
Friday night started with the Ventura Ghost Tour. It was so interesting to find out not only about the ghost stories, but the history of Downtown Ventura.
The tour was given by Richard Senate. He is an authority on the paranormal and history in this area. He is a published author, teacher and he has even been on tv.Google him to find out more.
Saturday, we were busy with the usual Saturday errands, then a lovely dinner out with friends.
Sunday was the Ventura Flea Market. My husband and I went very early, then we met my friend, and blogging buddy Jamie. My husband left us girls to our own shopping time. Jamie and I had a ball as usual. We shopped and talked non stop!! After we shopped til we could shop no more, we all headed to Downtown Ventura for lunch at Nona's Courtyard Cafe. In the Bella Maggiore Hotel. One of the haunted sites on our tour Friday night! Lunch was delicious.
Dear sweet Jamie insisted on treating us to lunch even with our protests!!!! The girl is stubborn!!
She also presented me with the most lovely orchid plant for Thanksgiving.
Thank you sweet Jamie!!
In the pictures you can see my beautiful orchid, as well as some of my flea market finds. I got some old Christmas ornaments, a really great old mirror, old sheet music, and other misc items not pictured.
I'm sure you are all busy this week getting ready for the big T day on Thursday.
I will try to post another day this week. I have more to talk about, as I have received an award from another sweet blog friend.
Have a great Monday!!!
Chat again soon.

Christmas Goodies
Hello all, and happy Thursday!!
Hope you have all had a great week so far!
I have been busy working on some Christmas goodies. All of the glitter and glue are keeping me away from your blogs. I really need to catch up.
I hope you all have some great plans for the weekend.
We are going on a ghost tour tomorrow night, that my daughter and son in law purchased recently at a silent auction. Spooky fun!! It is a walking tour of Downtown Ventura. I will let you know how that goes.
Sunday is the Ventura Flea Market, and I am meeting my friend Jamie there. You know Jamie, the best vintage jewelry maker I know. http://simplymeart.blogspot.com/ We are going to have a fun day of shopping for treasures. Can't wait!!
I will try to get around to visit soon!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Waiting!!
Hi all!
Hope you had a great weekend.
I talked a bit before about an upcoming kitchen remodel. Nothing is happening yet I'm afraid. I am waiting as patiently as possible for the above sink. It's a beautiful Farmhouse sink by FRANKE. I was told 3-4 weeks, and I'm only on week 2.
You see, nothing can happen until the sink gets here. You have to have the sink in order to measure the counters etc. etc.
I think it will be worth the wait, as I have wanted a Farmhouse sink for a very long time. At least my kitchen won't be messed up for Thanksgiving. Maybe for Christmas, who knows? Only the sink gods know for sure.
So please send out some good sink vibes for me.
You know how it is when you want to start something.
More about the sink, it is fireclay. Each one is made and fired from clay in Switzerland. No black scratches!! Yay!! (It weighs a ton, and you have to have it built in to your cabinet).
The sink we are replacing is 26 years old, and won't come clean anymore. It's been scrubbed so often that I think layers of enamel have come off.
Anyway, I will let you know when this project starts. I will have pictures of the before and after. That's always fun.
I must get back to my glittering now. I am making some new French candy containers. A new paper project for me.
I will try to add them to my etsy shop.
Have a wonderful week.

Guess What??
Hi all!
Sorry I haven't had time to visit this week, but I was busy opening my new Etsy store. It's something I have wanted to do for quite awhile now.
If you notice on my sidebar I have a cute button to go straight to my Etsy. My button and Etsy banner were made by the talented Amber of Shabee Chick Designs.
I named my shop The Vintage Crown. It will have many of my creations, crowns, boxes, tags, wands, cones, and lots of magical, whimsical goodies.
It took me awhile to figure it all out, since I am not a computer genius. Just and artist. You know right brained and all of that.
I will be listing many more items soon. I just had to get at least one thing on there to start it out.
I will let you know when I get more listed.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Love,
Rosemary

Thanksgiving Is On The Way!!
I hope you all had a great weekend!
I have been decorating for Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving, and I don't like to skip over the opportunity to decorate. I know most stores go right into Christmas after Halloween. We shouldn't overlook the pretty Thanksgiving decor.
I am off to a busy week. I will try and check in with you periodically.
Have a great week!

Rosemary
PS, the picture of the pretty slipper/shoe with the leaves tucked inside, came from Heather Bullard. I purchased it from the soiree, last Sunday. http://heatherbullard.typepad.com/
