Christmas Day And The Day After!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day!!

We had a lovely time at my daughter's house.
This was her first Christmas as a married woman.

She made a really great Italian meal for us. It was delicious. This is Max, one of her 4 cats. He is the biggest cat that I have ever seen.

Max really liked the wrapping paper. She made a yummy cake for dessert. She got to use all of her new bake ware. (Wedding presents)

I took these pictures with my new camera that I got from Santa, aka my husband. It's the cutest little tiny red Kodak 8.2 mega pixels. So I have to practice using it.

Now here it is the day after Christmas, and what comes in the mail??? A package from Louise at http://beachyscapecodcupboard.blogspot.com/
I won her giveaway. (My first time winning anything) It all came in this huge stocking.

Everything was wrapped so cute in pink and green.

Look at all of the treasures she sent me. It was so sweet of her. Thank you so much Louise!!!

It was so much fun to get a package the day after the big day.

How cute is this stuff??

Have a wonderful evening!

Old stocking and Awards!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmassy kind of day.

I recently spoke about my Christmas stocking that I have had since, OK here goes 1956. I still use it every Christmas, although Santa has a hard time stuffing it, because stockings use to be smaller.

I had to add the picture of my husband Mark and I, at our daughter's wedding a couple of months ago. Well after showing the old stocking, I had to feel better about being born in 1956. ( I hear you all doing the math).

Now the cat is out of the bag, it's only a number.

Manuela from, The Feathered Nest, and Rhoda, from Southern Hospitality passed these awards on to me, and I am passing them along to Jamie,
from Simply Me Art, and Liz from Mabel's House.

Not exactly sure what these awards are about, but they are fun!!!

So I hope you enjoy my tattered little angel stocking, as I still do. Now it is Shabby Chic, isn't it?

Have a great day!

A Christmas Tag!

So I was tagged this morning by Jill at http://bailiwickdesigns.typepad.com//. It is a Christmas tag, called Hoopla.

I am suppose to list 12 Christmas things about me, and then tag other people.

So here goes,

1. I start to put up decorations the day after Thanksgiving.

2. The outside lights go up the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

3. I like to make Christmas cookies, but I don't eat many.

4. I have a huge collection of Hallmark ornaments, and I don't use them anymore. I have one

for each year starting in 1976.

5. I still use the same Christmas stocking I have had since I was born.

6. Every Christmas Eve I make Italian sausage and peppers. My family is Italian, and they

would come home from midnight mass, and have sausage and peppers. We have it for dinner

not after midnight.

7. I love watching cheesy Christmas movies.

8. When I was young, we opened one present on Christmas Eve.

9. My daughter has gotten 2 stockings ever since she was a baby. I was informed recently by

her, that even after she has children, she will still get 2 stockings. (Not too spoiled)

10. On Christmas Eve day, I deliver some kind of homemade treat to my neighbors.

11. My daughter and I compete to see who gets the most Christmas cards. (She started it)

12. I have a Christmas ball, that my daughter made when she was little. I hang it in the entry

from a chandelier. Every time she comes over, she moves it to another chandelier over the

dining table. Sometimes I don't notice for a couple of days. ( She thinks it's so funny)

I was told to try to keep this Christmas tag going, so I will tag Linda, and Clarice.

Have a great day!

Christmas Views and Snow!!!!

Here are a few more views of Christmas. I added some mercury glass bead garland to my new Pottery Barn piece.

Maybe you remember the old window frame I picked up at last months Ventura Flea Market?? I got some silvery snowflakes and embellished them. Then I tied one to each frame. (Click to make larger)

I added some trees and a white picket fence to my glass enclosed houses.

Snow in Southern California??? I don't think so. My friend Joan went skiing, and brought me back a cooler full of snow.

It made my snowman very happy, as well as me. It has been so cold here lately, there is still a trace left.

We can drive for 2 hours and we can go skiing. We can drive for 20-30 minutes and go to the beach. That's California!

Have a great Friday, and a wonderful weekend!

Little Things!

Happy Wednesday!

Hope all of your holiday things are going well.

I wanted to show you these cute ice skates. I got them the other day. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but they are sparkly and ready to hang with very strong laces. They came from Kohl's, and where 60% off. So of course I had to get them. The believe sign was also purchased at Kohl's. It's very glittery red!!

The little banner/signs up above are my latest project for my friend Barbara's shop. They are great to stick in a plant or on a package. They are glittery and fun!
I have to go and work on more little boxes, and get some packages wrapped.

Have a great day!
