Lampshades!

Hi all!
Hope you had a great weekend.
As you can see I have been busy working on lampshades.
The burlap ones are great to do, but the cheese cloth is another story.
Not easy to work with, but the results are pretty.
Before I use any cheesecloth I coffee stain it. I like working with coffee more than tea. I think it works faster and better.
These are all headed out to that cute little shop in Agoura, Sticks N Stones.
We have been having crazy rain storms the past 2 days, and we are in for more.
This is how it works here in Southern California. We get weeks of nice weather, then we get tons of rain all at once. Not good for the burn areas. It causes mudslides.
Earthquakes, brush fires, and mudslides. With all of that, we love it here!
Flea markets, and garage sales, are pretty much on all year. You can play golf almost everyday of the year, and you can go to the beach and the mountains all in the same day. Do I sound like the visitors bureau?
Have a great rest of the week!!
Chat again soon.
Love,
Rosemary

Rosemary, these are exquisite! You are always many steps ahead of me in the ideas department! I just love those cheese cloth shades! The rosette is just stunning and I will try coffee instead of tea staining. Marvelous work, and I am so glad that you are busy with work! Bisous my friend, Anita

The lampshades look wonderful...I can't pick my favorite. I like coffee better then tea too for staining.
Here it's beginning to remind me of the mud season like they get in Maine! What a mess!

Oh, cheesecloth is miserable! It stretches in all directions at once...and is so delicate...but the results on your lampshades sure are pretty!!!
