Chicken Wire Can Be Pretty!!

Happy Middle of the week!!

Sorry if I didn't visit all of you yesterday. I was up to my elbows in chicken wire. I started making these crowns for garden statues, indoors or out. They turned out so cute, my friend Jamie said I should put them on my blog for you to see!!
So here they are. If you are wondering, I used moss around the bottom of the crown, and the cute bird graphic came from The Graphic Fairy. I embellished of course. The hardest part is cutting and bending the wire. Chicken wire can be poky, and you can't really wear gloves while working with the wire. Each one turns out slightly different, hence the hand done thing. (What, I'm not a machine)?
This project took up my entire day yesterday, but it's quite nice when a project turns out well.

Have a great day!!
Love,
Rosemary

I love chicken wire crowns! I've been wanting to make some and add old lace and tons of ribbon. I just don't want to get poked like you did. :~)

I love the moss and bird graphics you used. I can see these with nests in the center.

Great job Rosemary. Chicken wire is really hard to work with but those are darling. I really like the crown on the birds, and I see the rhinestones your bought put to good use. Have a happy day!
